To develop skills in manufacturing and fabrication, department have a well equipped Central Workshop. Students are trained on specialized facilities as per the AICTE norms such as Lathe M/C, Drilling M/C, Milling M/C, Power Hacksaws, Different welding methods and technique. Workshop includes various section viz. fitting, carpentry, welding, smithy, plumbing, machine shop, moulding etc. The laboratories and workshop in the department is well equipped to fulfil the need of undergraduate and postgraduate education.
The emphasis is on making students familiar with theoretical and practical aspects of various fields of Mechanical Engineering. The course is designed keeping in view industrial and research needs. Flexibility in curriculum is provided through Electives, Seminars and Projects. Industrial relations further enhance our creditability, hence industry based projects is a common practice.
Along with all curricular activities department run extracurricular activities through MESA (Mechanical Engineering Students Association) to enhance student's knowledge and confidence. MESA conducted industrial visits & training which built up student's practical knowledge also they become familiar to industrial environment.
